The Building
Due to the ongoing success of the show home at Samsung’s Headquarters, TFI were invited to tender for the redesign and rebuild of an extended show home to reflect the advancement of Samsung’s domestic technology and app integration. The brief was to provide a space which demonstrated the urban family home in a modern context.
The Refurbishment
In conjunction with Dalziel & Pow, TFI successfully implemented a design which exceed requirements set by multiple entities within the organisation. We were tasked with stripping the space back to a bare canvas, before building a fully functioning apartment that realised Samsung’s vision.
The Challenges
With the stringent deadline proposed, we managed to partition a construction site from an active office environment without restricting the daily lives of Samsung employees working within the site.
Within six weeks, we successfully managed to construct a fully functioning residential apartment, inclusive of external courtyard and garage, which permitted Samsung to simulate an example of how urban life can integrate naturally with its products.
